Involvement in the community is a large part of any volunteer fire
department. In 1986 the Muskoka Winter Carnival asked us to cook up a world record. As
part of the winter festivities the GFD cooked up the World's Largest Pancake for the
Guinness Book of Records. While the record only stood for a short time, locally the feat
will long be remembered.
