Three men died and arrived at the pearly gates. Sure enough...there was St. Peter waiting. He asked each man what he did on earth. One was a Paramedic, one was a Police Officer and the last one was a Firefighter. St. Peter was quite impressed with their chosen fields and for the dedicated service. He said that he would make it easy for them to enter heaven. All they had to do was count to ten. First one up was the Paramedic. He started, one, two, three, and then he stopped. St. Peter asked why did he stop counting? The Paramedic said that when the are lifting a patient the count one, two, three lift. "That's as high as we ever have to count," said the Paramedic. Next was the Police Officer. Started counting, one, two, three, four, five, six, and then he too stopped counting. Again St. Peter asked why he stopped counting. The Police Officer said, "well when I wake up in the morning and I load my gun, I put one, two, three, four, five, six bullets in my gun. That's as high as I ever have to count." Well St. Peter wasn't too impressed and thought to himself, well here is this firefighter that he figured wasn't too bright. St. Peter says, "Okay Mr. Firefighter, let's see how you do." The Firefighter started, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10." "Oh," said St. Peter, "I'm very impressed, can you count any higher?" "Oh, ya sure I can," says the Firefighter. "Jack, Queen, King."
